Google has added a new white version of the Nexus 7 to the Google Play Store, bringing the 7in tablet in line with the company's Nexus 5 smartphone which is already available in a choice of colours.
It has the same 7in, 1,920x1,200 resolution screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset and stock Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system, although an over-the-air update to the latest 4.4 KitKat release will be available as soon as new owners take their tablet out of the box.
Unfortunately Google hasn't added the white colour choice to the 4G LTE version of the Nexus 7. You also have to buy the more expensive 32GB model, so if you were hoping for a 16GB version in white you'll have to wait a while longer.
The white Nexus 7 can be bought online from the Google Play store for £239.99, with devices leaving the warehouse in 1-2 days. If you want to get one in time for the holidays it may be a good idea to order soon - there's no telling how many Google has in stock.
