Sony releases official unboxing video for PlayStation 4

With Microsoft having shown off its next-gen console's UI and features in a recent video, Sony, not to be outdone, has released a video of its own. Instead of showing us the software, however, the Japanese company has opted to show us the console being unboxed. We suspect some serial killers work at Sony, since the person unboxing the video seems to have a questionable demeanor and sports serial killer-esque leather gloves. Check it out:

The video shows us the contents of the PlayStation 4 box, which includes the console itself, the DualShock 4 controller, an HDMI cable (finally!) a "Network Voucher" which talks about PlayStation Live, a "Quick Start Guide - English", a USB cable to connect the controller to the console and a power connector cable to power the console.

The update to the device adds a new app called PS4 Link, which lets it connect to the PlayStation 4 for features like Remote Play and the second-screen capabilities featured in upcoming games. The update is numbered at version 3.00.The update has also added a few new features to the handheld, such as improved Parental Controls, which lets users manage the duration of gameplay and the use of games and videos.
