Asus has now launched the world’s smallest router, the WL-330NUL, in India for Rs 3,500. The tiny device measures just 60.5x20x10.5mm and weighs in at 17.5g. The device has been customised for users owning Ultrabooks, smartphones and tablets who want to get online. The router provides quick secure network setup and connection sharing with other users, according to the company, and works with multiple operating systems including Windows, OS X and iOS.Owing to its router capabilities, the WL-330NUL allows users to share one connection on multiple devices and does away with the need for additional accounts or new log-in information. The router also easily pairs with Ultrabooks via a USB port and also comes with an RJ-45 Ethernet port to convert your wired connection into a wireless one. Users simply need to pair the new device with their Ultrabook using the attached USB cable, then connect the same to a source like a modem or directly to the wall using an Ethernet cable. While talking about the new device, the Country Head, Component Business of Asus India, Vinay Shetty, said, “The WL-330NUL has been engineered to offer fully-fledged router functionality in a miniaturised form factor. It operates in multiple modes, including router, Ethernet, Wi-Fi hotspot, and access point. Its flexibility and convenience allow easy internet service sharing across several devices, regardless of whether only wired or wireless connectivity is available.” The WL-330NUL comes with one 100/10Mbps WAN port as well one USB 2.0 port. The router also comes with one internal antenna and has an operating frequency of 2.4GHz. The device supports WI-Fi data rates at up to 150Mbps. In terms of management, the router comes with one click setup and management. Asus is also offering a warranty period of three years for the new device.
