After a staggered launch that was kicked off earlier this month, the game seems to be available for Android users all over the world now.The game is available for free from the Google Play Store. The game uses microtransactions to sustain itself. There has been no word from PopCap on whether the game is making its way to PC yet, which is a bit strange considering the fact that the franchise was born on the PC.

The game’s plot revolves around Crazy Dave who uses a time machine and travels back and forth in time to find a taco. Levels depict different eras and settings, such as ancient Egypt or a pirate-themed Caribbean.The game has been quite successful since it was released on iOS devices a couple of months ago. Back in August, the game garnered 25 million downloads, which is much more than the total lifetime downloads for the first Plants vs Zombies game. PopCap revealed the information through an infographic.The infographic also shows some other interesting facts about the game. For example, the main resource for making plants in the game, Sun, had been generated 39 billion times. Plants in general have been created more than 10 billion times. The total play-time on Plants vs Zombies 2 was a massive 81 million hours at the time.
