Next Aliens game to reportedly have better quality testing

Apparently, the Alien franchise isn’t exactly done with video games, despite the disappointment that was Aliens: Colonial Marines. According to a report by Kotaku, the next game in the franchise, named Alien: Isolation, will star the movie protagonist Ellen Ripley’s daughter Amanda Ripley.More surprising, however, is the fact that it will be a first person shooter developed by Sega-owned studio Creative Assembly. The studio has been predominantly known for its work on strategy games, namely the Total War series. The game will be making its way to both current-gen as well as next-gen consoles.

Not pictured: a good game

Sega obviously couldn't ignore the negative reception Aliens: Colonial Marines got, and has apparently taken steps to make sure that Isolation turns out good. The game will apparently be inspired by the horror trappings of the first Alien movie, rather than the action-heavy Aliens. It will involve Amanda Ripley fighting clones, soldiers and a single alien.Aliens: Colonial Marines begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the USS Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. They have to fight to survive against unspeakable horrors and their own anxieties as they chase down the truth behind a galaxy-spanning deception that places humanity at the mercy of the most murderous and deadly Xenomorphs. The game was largely panned for being highly unstable along with having generic action gameplay. It is currently available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
