LG announces the G Pro Lite, could be hitting India this month

LG unveiled a new device for the market last week, naming it the G Pro Lite. The announcement clearly stated that the phablet would be debuting in Latin America this month, followed by other markets including India. The exact timeframe for an India launch was not specified. A new report by Gizbot now suggests that the India launch could coincide with the international debut, and may set Indian users back Rs 20,000.The G Pro Lite is slated to be a mid-range phablet aimed at emerging markets like India, China and Russia. A quick look at the specifications sheet reveals that the device will come with a 5.5-inch display sporting a resolution qHD of 960x540 pixels. Internally, the device will come with a dual-core MT6577 processor clocked at 1GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM and run on Android 4.1.2. Features like dual stereo speakers, Dual SIM support as well as a stylus are also available. The device will come with 8GB of internal memory with scope for expansion via a microSD card slot. It overall measures 150.2x76.9x9.4 mm and weighs 161 grams. In terms of connectivity, the device comes with support for all the usual suspects like Wi-Fi Direct, A-GPS and Bluetooth 3.0. On the camera front, the phablet comes with an 8-megapixel BSI camera with auto focus and LED flash as well as 1.3-megapixel front shooter. Rounding up the offering is a removable 3,140mAh battery.
