iPhone 5s and 5c rolls out in another 25 countries; Apple Online stores go down

Apple is all set to begin its second wave of iPhone roll out. The company will be rolling out the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c to 25 more countries. As it will start taking online orders from morning – according to the country’s local time – Apple App Stores in many of these 25 markets is currently down as they’re preparing for the release, reports 9To5Mac. This second phase of rollout includes the following countries – Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, French West Indies, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Island, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand.

Second wave of the rollout begins



Apple had earlier announced the availability of the iPhone 5s and 5c in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK. Indian users will have to wait until the third phase of rollout begins on November 1. Airtel and Reliance will be releasing the phone officially for the Indian market. The iPhone 5c is priced starting at Rs 42,000, while the 5s will be available at a starting price of Rs 54,000. A quick look at the specs of the new devices shows that the 5s comes with a new fingerprint scanner called Touch ID, an improved camera sensor as well as the first 64-bit desktop-class architecture. The 5c, on the other hand, is positioned as the company’s “budget” smartphone. Some of its features are A6 chip, 4-inch Retina display and 8-megapixel iSight camera.
