Windows 8.1 ad highlights the return of the Start button

Last week, Microsoft finally released its new Surface tablets that run on the Windows 8.1 update. Now, there has been considerable talk about the new OS. The update does a lot to fix the problems that Windows 8 was launched with. The biggest and a most welcome change is that Microsoft is bringing back the good ‘ol “Start” button. Now, the company has released its first Windows 8.1 ad which highlights the return of the Start button.Earlier in June, Microsoft began its Windows Everywhere campaign. Now, the new half a minute ad follows the similar pattern and is titled as Windows 8.1 Everywhere. The ad highlights the ability to boot to the desktop or Start screen. It clearly shows the new tile sizes which can be easily changed according to users’ preference. Take a look at the new Windows 8.1 ad below: The ad also shows the Snap feature which allows to run productivity apps or games, and use both simultaneously. It is also focusing to show simplicity and ease while using the Windows 8.1 device. Along with the new Surface tablets, the Windows 8.1 update will be rolled out to users through the Windows Store on October 17. The digital update will reportedly be made available in India by 4:30 pm IST on October 17.Besides, bringing back the “Start” button, the 8.1 update will come with a host of new features, apps, new highlights and more. One can even expect improved multitasking, and UI tweaks for 7- and 8-inch tablets.
