There was a time when the Japanese had the music world in their hands, but lately we saw the American's take over the floor with their line-up of iPod devices powered by the company's own iOS platform.
And, yesterday we saw the Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation, Sony announcing it's latest, Google's Android powered, Sony Walkman players, the ZX1 and F880.
The Sony Walkman ZX1 will be the company's high-end music player with four-inch screen of 854 x 480 resolution display, a huge 128 gigabytes of internal storage, supporting playback at 24-bit rate/196kHz in various audio formats like FLAC and ALAC, the unit comes with a built-in S-Master HX Amplifier, Bluetooth, WiFi, Near Field Communication (NFC) and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board with Google Play support.
The F880 is up next, which packs almost all the specs from the ZX1, but with a smaller screen size of 3.5-inch, 16, 32 and 64 gigabytes of internal flash storage option and comes in a wide variety of color options.
The ZX1 is scheduled to be available in Japan from October 19 at a price of 763$ and 16 gigs variant of F880 will hit a price of 274$, 32 for 305$ and finally the 64 at 407$ respectively. No details on the units international availability.
