Micromax A116 Canvas HD gets the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update

Micromax A116 Canvas HD has received the Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) update as the company promised. The A116 Canvas HD was launched with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). Micromax launched theA110Q Canvas Plus last month that runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. The Micromax A110Canvas 2 got the Android 4.1 update back in March. The Micromax A116 update would also be available from the Micromax Service Centers where the users can take their devices to get it flashed to Android 4.2 without any cost.

The Android 4.2.1 update for the A116 Canvas HD brings faster performance, Quick Settings, semi-transparent notification panel, Panorama in the camera and better GPS lock. In addition the update has also brought Over-the-Air (OTA) software update functionality so that you don’t need to visit service centers every time to update the phone.
