How to Install TWRP 2.1 Recovery on AT&T and Rogers HTC One X

AT&T and Rogers HTC One X users rejoice, the TWRP 2.1 Touch Based Recovery is now officially available for this great smartphone and in the following guide, we have covered how you can install it on your One X beast. Here you go:

I. Before You Begin

1. You must have unlocked bootloader of your HTC One X. Follow the instructions given here to do so.
2. You must have ADB installed on your PC. Learn how you can install it from here.
3. You must have rooted your device before doing this procedure. Please head to our how to root AT&T and Rogers HTC One X procedure first, finish it, then return to this procedure and continue.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Download the TWRP 2.1 Recovery Image from here.
2. Download the Fastboot package from here.

III. Installing TWRP 2.1 Recovery on AT&T and Rogers HTC One X:

1. Place all the downloaded files on the Desktop of your PC.
2. Extract files from the Fastboot package using any file extraction software to your Desktop.
3. Turn OFF your smartphone using the Power button.
4. Press and hold Volume DOWN+Power buttons together to enter into the bootloader mode.
5. Choose the Fastboot option from the bootloader menu.
6. While your phone is in the bootloader mode, connect it to your PC using the USB cable.
7. On your PC, hold the Shift button and right-click on any empty area on the Desktop and choose Open command window here.
8. Type the following commands into the Command Prompt window:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.1.7-evita.img
fastboot reboo
t
9. After the recovery is successfully installed on your phone, it will reboot.
