Konami has announced that the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will be getting exclusive content on both of Sony’s consoles—namely the PlayStation 3 and 4. The exclusive mission will be a ‘MGS1 Deja-Vu’, as the press release describes it, where the game will reference key events from the first Metal Gear Solid game. The mission tasks players with recreating some famous scenes from the original game. As players create these moments, a flashback system will reproduce the original old-school graphical style, complete with a reduced polygon count. The enemies and weather conditions will also be the same. The extra mission will be available to PS3 and PS4 gamers regardless of whether they pick up the digital or retail copy of the game.
Metal Gear?!
Ground Zeroes will introduce key gameplay elements that will be fully realised in The Phantom Pain, and will act as a bridge between the events of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and The Phantom Pain. It will also serve as a bridge for gameplay elements, by featuring the progression from the earlier titles’ linear level design to Phantom Pain’s open world. It charts a rescue mission where players infiltrate a Cuban prison camp, and sets in motion a series of events that culminate in The Phantom Pain. The prelude will showcase key advances to the series along with the much-hyped Fox Engine, with a large open environment, and missions where time of day and weather have a dynamic effect on the game and its missions.Ground Zeroes is expected to cost £29.99, which roughly translates to Rs 2,960, on all platforms. The game will be available through both retail as well as digital means, and will be hitting stores some time in spring 2014.
