As the rumoured day of launch draws closer, we’re seeing a lot more leaks of the Google Nexus 5 cropping up now and then. This time they are images of the device sporting a white back-panel that have been leaked. The images made their way on to the Internet courtesy of serial leaker Evleaks and look pretty much like the ones in the image put online erroneously by Google a week ago. Along with the leaked images, Evleaks cryptically hints at the date November 1. Now, it isn’t clear if that’s when the device is announced or made available, we’re tempted to believe it will be the announcement date. The other date that’s being floated around for the launch of the Nexus 5 is just a day prior, October 31. JJust to jog your memory a bit, October 29 was when the Nexus 4 was announced last year, and the device was made available starting November 13. It is very possible that Google will be looking at dates around the same time as when it last launched a Nexus phone.
In a cool white shade too
This is not the first time a white Nexus 5 is being spoken about. Earlier this month, a retail packaging sample for the device – in its white variant – was leaked by a Korean website. Quite like in the case of the popular white Nexus 4, the white paneling of the Nexus 5 too seems to be limited only to the back, with the front portion of the phone being entirely black. Thanks to multiple leaks, we have a complete picture of what Google’s upcoming phone is expected to be like. The device may come with a 5-inch display, a 13-megapixel primary and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. It is supposed to come out of the box with Android’s latest iteration, version 4.4 KitKat. A listing erroneously put online by Google on the Play Store has showed that the device is supposed to be priced at $349 (Rs 21,330 approx) for the 16GB model.
