After images of the “World’s smallest ILC camera” from Panasonic leaked yesterday, the company has officially announced the Lumix GM1, the first in line of the new GM range for its Lumix Digital Single Lens Mirrorless (DSLM) cameras. The Lumix GM1 boasts of a large Digital Live MOS Sensor based on the micro four-thirds system standard. It has a 16MP sensor and a 3-inch tilting LCD. The camera boasts of an ISO range of 200-25600 and is capable of recording 1080p videos.The compact, feature-packed Lumix GM1

The camera is housed by a sleek looking compact, metallic alloy frame and is tiny enough to slide into your pocket. It also features aluminum dials and a brushed-steel finish for a classy look. It has the ability to have interchangeable lenses, making this camera pretty unique to come out of Panasonic. The camera will allow you to choices between full manual control and intelligent assistant for easy shooting. It also features intelligent auto modes, giving point-and-shoot ease without compromising on image quality. The camera will also offer users a range of 22 creative filters as well as the option to create Time Lapse Shots or Stop-motion Animations. Panasonic says that the camera will also enable you to take images discreetly with the silent shutter feature. Quite like Panasonic’s GX7, the Panasonic Lumix GM1 has Wi-Fi connectivity and is compatible with the Panasonic Image app that is available for Android and iOS operating systems The app will allow you to turn your smartphone into a remote control and shoot with it. The Panasonic GM1 is priced at $750, but there is no word on availability yet.
