If you are jealous that only PS3 and PS Vita gamers have so far been able to get their hands on psychological survival horror game Lone Survivor's Director's Cut, don't fret. Developer Jasper Bryne has now announced on the studio's website that it is coming to PC and Mac on October 31.The delivery system of choice for the studio will be Good Old Games, and more digital distribution platforms will be announced at a later date. This essentially means that the game will be available completely free of any form of DRM. If you already bought the original game, you can get your hands on the Director's Cut features for free. If you got the game through a Humble Bundle, you will have to pay $0.01.Players who already have games in progress in the original version will be able to continue their game with the added ability to switch between the original version and the Director's Cut version.

Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut is the latest in a series of independent games published and developed for PlayStation consoles by Curve Digital and Curve Studios, working with the Strategic Content Team at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.Along with a completely new lighting system designed to improve the game’s distinctive style, the developers claim that the Director’s Cut edition of Lone Survivor also features hundreds of tweaks and changes to the original game including new dialogue, over twenty new items, brand new endings and secrets.Much like the Silent Hill franchise, Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut is a survival horror game that focuses as much on insanity, loneliness and isolation as it does on actual enemies. According to developer Jasper Byrne, the game was directly influenced by Silent Hill and psychological thrillers like Twin Peaks.
