HCL launches 7-inch Me Champ Android tablet for children

Lately we’ve seen companies like Samsung, Genius and the most recent Binatone, come up tablets aimed at children. Following the league is HCL which has now launched the Me Champ for children between the ages of 4 to 12 years. This 7-inch tablet is priced at Rs 7,499. The HCL Me Champ is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor coupled with 1GB RAM. HCL gives it the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean flavour. The company has also loaded the device with a wide variety of content ranging across categories from education to TV and games. Under the hood, a 3,100 mAh battery will fuel the tablet. Like most tablets for kids, this one also supports parental control functions.
