Well, we can’t say we didn’t see that coming. Minutes after Google put the all-new Nexus 5 for sale on the Play Store, the black version of the device was all snapped up in the US forcing the company to place an “out of inventory” tag on the smartphone. The Nexus 5 with 16GB of onboard memory is priced at $349 on the US Play Store while in India it is priced at Rs 28,999. However, the device hasn’t started selling in India yet with the Nexus 5 page on the Indian version of the Play Store displaying a "coming soon" tag.

As far as the device in the US goes, the white version of the 16GB Nexus 5 will now be shipping by November 8. The 32GB variants of the Nexus 5 are selling out slower than its 16GB counterparts and will also be shipping by November 8.Here's a quick look at the Nexus 5’s features:

Google also announced the latest iteration of Android, version 4.4 KitKat along with the Nexus 5 too. The OS upgrade has introduced a few visual changes and a ton of under-the-hood ones, including support for new Bluetooth profiles, a new screen recorder tool and more. Google Now has also been updated to play a larger part in helping you discover using your Android phone.
