Battlefield 4 beta to start on October 1 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC




As we get closer to the release date, EA has announced the starting dates for the beta for Battlefield 4. The date was revealed in a blog post by EA's COO Peter Moore. According to Moore, those who had pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition of Battlefield 4 will get access to the multiplayer beta, alongside those who pre-ordered Medal of Honor: Warfighter and Battlefield Premium members.For those who pre-ordered, are premium members and pre-ordered Medal of Honor: Warfighter, the beta will start on October 1. Everyone else will get access to the beta a couple of days later on October 4. It then go on till October 15. After everything's over and the dust has settled, we'll see Battlefield 4 hitting store shelves on October 29. The beta will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Don't be scared if your awesome PC can't handle this quite yet


Since it’ll be a beta, don’t be surprised if your super-awesome badass computer can’t handle the game. It’s very likely that the final optimisation of the game hasn’t been completed yet and developer DICE will finish it in time for the beta to end. Earlier, DICE had revealed the system requirements for running the PC version of Battlelfield 4.Here are the minimum requirements:


  • OS: Windows Vista SP2 32-bit

  • Processor: AMD Athlong X2 2.8 GHz or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz

  • RAM: 4GB

  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 3870 or Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT

  • Graphics Memory: 512MB

  • Hard Drive: 30GB

Here are the recommended requirements:

  • Processor: AMD six-core CPU or Intel quad-core CPU

  • RAM: 8GB

  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7870 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 660

  • Graphics Memory: 3GB
