I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your smartphone before doing this procedure. Please head to our how to root LG Optimus 2X procedure first, finish it, then return to this procedure and continue.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Download the Recovery Image from here
2. Download the Android Terminal Emulator App from here. (Google Play Link)

III. Installing TWRP 2.1 Recovery on LG Optimus 2X:

1. Download and place the Recovery Image on the Desktop of your PC.
2. Install the Android Terminal Emulator App on your smartphone.
3. Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable that came with it.
4. Transfer the Recovery Image to the root folder of your phone’s SD card. It is the topmost folder.
5. After the file transfer has been completed, disconnect your phone from the PC.
6. Open Android Terminal Emulator App on your smartphone.
7. Type in the following commands in the terminal:
su
cd /sdcard
dd if=recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p7
8. Reboot your smartphone using the Power button.
There you go, you have successfully installed the Touch-based TWRP 2.1 Recovery on your LG Optimus 2X smartphone.
